YMCA
The Customer
The YMCA of Metropolitan Denver is a major non-profit organization
focused on programs that build strong kids, strong families and strong
communities.
The Challenge
The increasing need to have multiple facilities networked with e-mail
and Microsoft software applications led the YMCA to research a practical
solution to manage their I.T. requirements. Of course, the
solution had to meet their I.T. budget. They were open to
outsourced solutions, as they were not keen on increasing staff or
managing internal I.T.
The YMCA had a specific set of requirements that included: a
Windows-based environment, Microsoft Office applications, shared and
secure network folders, a secure e-mail platform, network security,
back-ups, and remote access.
The Solution
The YMCA selected ITonCommand. IT-nCommand provides the
headquarters and all of their 11 facilities with a fully-hosted desktop
solution that includes: Microsoft Office Standard Edition; Exchange
Server; a secure, shared network; remote access and daily back-ups.
The successful integration of IT-on-Command has allowed the YMCA to
focus on serving the community, without having to worry about running
their network.
The Benefits
-
Networked computing throughout the organization.
-
Remote access from any Internet connection
-
Standardized applications and data management between their
headquarters and all of their facilities.
-
Increased network security and availability.
-
Low, predictable, I.T. costs.
Customer Feedback
"Now that we have subscribed to ITonCommand, our organization can focus
on delivering our services to the
Denver
community. We feel confident and secure in the knowledge that people
who are I.T. experts are running our computer platforms and systems for
us. This way, we are able to free up funds to enrich the
community, rather than enlarge our internal administrative staff.” Todd
M. I.T. Manager YMCA of Metropolitan
Denver.
Gerards Bakery
The Customer
Gerards Bakery is a 35-year old Colorado
bakery-manufacturer of premium par-baked breads and rolls for frozen
distribution to all 50 United States
and Canada.
The Challenge
Business had grown! Gerards built additional manufacturing facilities in California and
North Carolina, but their I.T. infrastructure
failed to keep up. It was unreliable and error-prone, lacking the
functionality needed to manage the increase in network traffic and data.
With a growing staff nationwide, Gerards needed to improve network
stability, operational efficiencies, and security.
Gerards did not have the in-house I.T. expertise necessary to manage
their network, so they decided to outsource their IT to an outside
company that could provide them with extensive I.T. management
experience, a flexible infrastructure, real-time anywhere access, and
the ability to host and to integrate with their recently-purchased John
Deere AGRIS system. Moreover, their solution had to be scalable to
meet future growth demands. And lastly, it could not cost a lot of
“dough.”
The Solution
Gerards Bakery implemented ITonCommand, effectively handing over their
I.T. reins to us. Our staff now provides them with a shared network
environment accessible to their employees via any Internet connection.
We host their mission-critical business data on our servers in our
state-of-the-art data center, providing enterprise-level security,
infrastructural reliability, and a centralized network. When their
business requires it, we add capacity and hardware/software, not them.
In fact, we’ve helped them add Great Plains financial and manufacturing editions as well
as CRM 3.0 to their hosted Microsoft suite of products (Office,
Exchange, Publisher, MapPoint, Project, Front Page and Visio).
The Benefits
-
Minimized total cost of ownership.
-
Standardized applications and data management between their
Colorado headquarters and all of their
nationwide locations.
-
Instantaneous increase in operational efficiency, reliability and
security.
-
Gained an expert, big-company-caliber I.T. team that continues to
align future I.T. solutions with their business needs.
-
I.T. costs reduced to low, predictable, and fixed monthly fees.
Customer Feedback
"By implementing ITonCommand, we have eliminated the administrative
costs and frustrations of managing our own I.T. In addition, we've
increased our overall productivity and put our focus back on producing
the highest-quality baked goods." Gary Knight, CEO Gerards Bakery
Mogul Mortgage
The Customer
Mogul Mortgage was a start-up company offering tailored loan programs
and 'round-the-clock service.
The Challenge
Like most start-up businesses, Mogul Mortgage was working with minimal
capital and human resources. It goes without saying that they did
not employ internal I.T. expertise, nor did they have the necessary
capital to build and support an I.T. infrastructure that would give them
the technology tools they needed to run their business.
Mogul Mortgage was designed to run on a lean budget. Instead of
investing in costly office space, employees worked from multiple
home-office locations. Therefore they required a secure network
that would offer full remote access to e-mail, company data, and a
specialized mortgage software application from any of these remote
locations. And their system had to be backed-up and secure from
intrusions to ensure the integrity of confidential customer and business
information. In summary, they needed a simple solution that
offered high-end technology at an affordable price.
The Solution
After reviewing the outsourcing options that were available, the
company’s president determined that ITonCommand was the best solution
for their technology needs. ITonCommand included:
-
Microsoft Office Standard Edition
-
Exchange Server
-
Remote access
-
Synchronization with Windows Mobile devices 5.0 and higher
-
A secure, shared corporate network
-
Daily back-ups
-
Break-fix support, and a Help desk.
And because ITonCommand supports over 100 third-party software
applications, Mogul Mortgage was able to add their specialized mortgage
software program and make it accessible from any of their remote
locations.
For this team of mortgage professionals, ITonCommand is a great
solution. They have the peace-of-mind of knowing their entire
network, e-mail, and data are available from any Internet connection
just about any time of the day or night. ITonCommand delivers
Mogul Mortgage’s corporate network efficiently, cost-effectively, and
without the need for any internal I.T. expertise. Most
importantly, ITonCommand helps them keep their commitment of being
accessible to their customers around-the-clock.
The Benefits
-
An entire corporate network delivered through secure Internet access
means increased company collaboration and employee productivity.
-
Remote access from any Internet connection means increased employee
mobility and flexibility.
-
Hosting of all Microsoft and customer mortgage software applications
means peace-of-mind, reliability, and security.
-
Enterprise-class I.T. functionality without any in-house I.T. staff
or expertise means less overhead, happier customers (lower
percentage rates), and more operating profit.
-
No capital investment means more cash flow for operations.
Customer Feedback
“With the help of ITonCommand, my dream of offering ‘bump-free’
mortgages—wherein the customer doesn’t get penalized for our overhead
costs in the form of additional points—became a reality. And this allows
my company to fulfill the home ownership dreams of hundreds of
homebuyers in Boulder, CO and the surrounding communities.” Mike
Crachee., Founder and President Mogul Mortgage.
